The JG250 big spring pump mechanical seal is a single spring, unbalanced shaft seal engineered to meet the wide demands of chemical pumps, printing and dyeing pumps, and dyeing and finishing equipment. Manufactured in accordance with EN12756 and ISO3069, this big spring pump seal covers shaft diameters from 20 mm to 100 mm and operates at pressures up to 1.2MPa and media temperatures from -20°C to 200°C.

The big spring design keeps the spring unit averted from the pumped product, so there is no sticking or clogging of the springs even when the pump handles fibrous, sticky or solid-containing media. As a stationary design, the JG250 pump seal is insensitive to shaft movements and delivers the advantages of a balanced seal even on plain shafts.

Reliability is built into every JG250 big spring pump seal through material engineering and precision manufacturing. The rotary and stationary rings are available in carbon, silicon carbide, tungsten carbide and ceramic, while O-rings can be supplied in EPDM, NBR, AFLAS, Kalrez or PTFE to match the pumped medium. Springs and metal parts are produced in SUS304, SUS316, titanium and 904L stainless steel for corrosion resistance in aggressive chemical service.

The seal face is locked by a square pin for safe, fracture-free operation, and the design is suitable for pressure reversals and vacuum operation without additional seat locking. Every big spring pump seal is 100% pressure-tested before shipment and backed by our ISO9001 quality management system.
